Privacy Policy

ChargeETA is designed to provide its core battery and charging functions locally on your Android device.

1. Who we are

ChargeETA is developed under the Orbit Technologies brand and may be published on Google Play under the developer name Orbit Tech Apps. Privacy and support contact: orbit.tech.om@gmail.com.

2. Information processed by ChargeETA

To provide charging estimates, alerts, testing and local charging history, ChargeETA may process battery and charging information including:

• battery percentage and charging state;
• charging source information made available by Android;
• battery current, voltage and temperature when available;
• charging-session timestamps and locally calculated charging rates;
• estimated time to the selected battery target;
• locally learned charging behavior used to improve future estimates;
• alert settings and other app preferences.

This information is used for the app’s core functionality and is processed locally on the device.

3. Custom alert audio

If you choose a custom alert sound, Android’s system file picker is used to select it. ChargeETA may copy the selected audio into the app’s private internal storage so it remains available. The app does not upload that file to Orbit Technologies or to an application server.

4. Information ChargeETA does not request

ChargeETA does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS messages, call logs, or advertising identifier for its core operation.

5. Network transmission, analytics and advertising

The current ChargeETA Android build does not use active advertising, analytics, telemetry or cloud-upload SDKs for its core operation and does not transmit charging telemetry to Orbit Technologies.

User-initiated links such as email, social-media, WhatsApp or Privacy Policy links may open an external browser or installed application. Once you leave ChargeETA, that destination service’s own privacy terms apply.

6. Android permissions

ChargeETA may use Android permissions required for local functionality, including:

• Notifications — charging status and target-reached alerts;
• Foreground service — reliable charging monitoring while backgrounded;
• Vibration — when vibration is enabled for an alert;
• Wake lock — to help deliver time-sensitive alert behavior while the device is sleeping.

7. Storage, retention and deletion

Charging history, learned charging information, preferences and any copied custom alert sound are stored in the app’s private local storage. ChargeETA does not maintain a user account or remote copy of this information.

You can remove locally stored ChargeETA data through Android’s Clear storage / Clear data controls or by uninstalling the app. Depending on Android backup or device-migration settings, eligible app data may be backed up or restored by the operating system.

8. Sharing and sale of data

ChargeETA does not sell personal information and does not share charging telemetry with advertisers or data brokers.

9. Security

ChargeETA uses Android’s application sandbox and private app storage for local data and is designed to minimize permissions and external attack surface. No software environment can be guaranteed absolutely secure, but the app is intentionally designed to avoid unnecessary data collection and transmission.

10. Children

ChargeETA is a general battery utility. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not provide user accounts, advertising or social features.

11. This website

This website and privacy page are hosted using Cloudflare Pages. Orbit Technologies does not intentionally add advertising, analytics or tracking scripts to this site. Cloudflare may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the website under its own policies.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy if ChargeETA’s features, data practices or legal requirements change. The last-updated date above will be revised when material changes are made.
